Will this kill my plants?

I have some plants that are on the edge of my house. Will this go into the soil and kill the plants? The bugs are actually doing quite a bit of damage to the plants so if the bug stop is only minimally harmful that wouldnt be a big deal to me.

You can apply Bug Stop around plants next to your foundation when you're using it as a barrier treatment to keep bugs from getting inside. If you're looking to apply an insecticide to the plants themselves, though, we would recommend our Triazicide Once & Done! Insect Killer sprays instead: http://www.spectracide.com/Products...

People and pets are OK to enter the treated area once the spray has dried. However, you should probably talk to your doctor before using any pesticide while pregnant.

This one actually doesn't work against bedbugs, but we do make a product under the Hot Shot brand that does -- Hot Shot Bedbug & Flea Home Insect Killer. It will kill bedbugs on contact and up to four weeks, and you can spray in cracks and crevices, around baseboards and on bedboards. Question

I bought the fogger.

There are clothes in the closet. I heard those little B's Bed bugs hang out there to. I sprayed around the carpet with steam, steam cleaned the mattress steamed cleaned all around the bed frame. ran all the bed sheets pillows etc through the dryer on high heat. I don't want to take the clothes out because then I could just infect another room. Is their anything in the fogger than cannot be washed out and can cause harm to a person.?

You just need to make sure the treated area is well aired before re-entering it. Once it has aired out for at least 30 minutes (fans on with doors and windows open), it's ok to use the room as you normally would. For effective bedbug control, though, we would recommend Hot Shot Bedbug & Flea Fogger (one of our other products): http://www.hotshot.com/Products-and...

It depends on how well ventilated the treated area is and how heavily you apply the product. To speed up drying time, turn on fans and open windows if it's not too cold. It should dry quickly. It's not necessary to air out (this product has no odor).

People and pets should stay out of the treated area until it's dry -- a heavier application means that this will take longer. Once it is dry, however, you and your children can use the treated areas as you normally would.

While this product will control fleas and ticks on surfaces outside, it would probably be more effective to spray a lawn insecticide with residual killing outdoors. Spectracide Triazicide Insect Killer Once & Done Concentrate will control fleas, ticks and other nuisance pests in your lawn for up to 2 months. You can learn more about it here: http://www.spectracide.com/Products...
You should not apply either product directly to a pet, though.

Question

How long does it take to work?

I sprayed Spectracide along the cracks in my kitchen where I see ants entering. As soon as it dried, several dozen more ants were coming and going. The next day, they are still coming and going. How long does it take to kill the ants after they trail through it, and will they take it back and kill the nest? Should I be concerned that they are trailing through the sprayed area onto my counter tops?

This is a contact insecticide, so it will start killing ants immediately. It will not kill the nest, but the residual effects will continue to kill ants walking through the treatment area on contact. These results do not sound typical of Spectracide Bug Stop Insect Killer -- is it possible that you have a type of ant that is not listed on the label?

You should never use Spectracide Bug Stop Insect Killer or any other pesticide this way. Rinse the sprayed surfaces very thoroughly; beyond that, we cannot tell you if it will cause problems with your car because we have not tested this product for use in this manner.

Spectracide Bug Stop works great on fleas indoors. You can even spray it on pet sleeping areas and use it as a home barrier treatment for up to 9 months of control (it should not be sprayed directly on your cat, though). Just follow the flea directions for indoor use: http://www.spectracide.com/~/media/.... Good luck!
