This product is only designed for use on lawns. You should not use on edibles or ornamentals. For spot weed treatment around flowers, you can use Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer (but you will need to cover desirable plants). You should not use Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer around herbs, though.

Question

How long does it take to work?

I am seeing some results 24 hrs after application but it is not working like I thought it would. Temps are mid 70's during day and getting down into upper 40's at night. Does the cooler temps delay onset of action?

No, the temperatures sound perfect. You should have started seeing some results after about 8 hours -- give it a few more days before you start seeing more extensive weed kill. Please let us know if you don't get these results within several days, and we'll be happy to help.

No, quackgrass is not one of the listed weeds controlled. If it's a small patch, however, you can use Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer to kill it and replant as directed on the label (spray only the quackgrass, though -- that product will kill all vegetation contacted).

No, you can't do anything at this point. The closer it gets to 24 hours before watering/raining the better; if it's only been eight to 12 hours before rain, you might not get the results you're hoping for and might need to reapply.

You can apply when dew is on the grass (adequate moisture will enhance the performance), but wait to water for at least one day after application and avoid applying if rain is in the forecast within 24 hours.

The ready to spray hose end product does not have dilution rates. It is to be used by connecting it to the hose and spraying the lawns, that is why there are not mixing instructions on the label similar to our Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns plus Crabgrass Killer Concentrate. http://www.spectracide.com/Products...

Question

Light rain within 24 hrs of spraying?

We sprayed our lawn late yesterday evening (between 8pm and 9pm), and it started raining this morning around 11am. I know, we should have more thoroughly read the directions, darnit!! The rain is more like sprinkles and there is little or no run-off so far, though it's supposed to continue sprinkling throughout the day. We're praying that this stuff will still work. What do y'all think??
